Five For Fighting

Today's post is focusing on DEF, 3 songs by 3 different artists. Is it completely random? Or was it any connections to them all? I guess you could say they are connected by sharing the same title for the 1 & 2, and then 2 & 3 shared the same scene. The first one actually has multiple songs in it, I guess you could say the entire octave is also there...

Even with "superman", I am sure his body is well built, be able to withstand many things at once. But can he breakdown? Is this allowed? If he did end up breaking down midair, is it because he is not "strong" enough? I am even with superman, he can have fragile moments. Every little things on his place do add up. Imagine throwing a Kryptonite at him, while he is mid-air dealing with a million of things. A small one, he may drop a little. A bigger one, he may fall to the ground, but he may be able to dodge it, if he wasn't distracted with the million of things. I am sure if he knew about it from the start, at least he would be more aware.

The end of the music video is ground, I think some may see happiness and peace. Perhaps it is better than the beginning - would you agree?

PS: Just as a joke, for a totally unrelated topic. What is Agile without Waterfall experience? I wonder if Assurance function sits better with latter, or at least a hybrid model may offer a different value propositions. Consider this as an extra...

  • When you are doing well, Assurance may have shown "no value", but it actually means it has been delivering its value, in an intrinsic way.

  • When you aren't doing well, then the question becomes, do you think an increase of spending in Assurance may actually be the answer to get you out of that shit.

  • Assurance is a cost function - period. It is not revenue generating, but your revenue and organisation safety pretty much depends on it.

  • When wastage is "assessed", perhaps ask again, whether that seemingly unrelated / unimportant thing, may actually be what you will need down the track. People who have worked in Assurance, tend to go a little bit further, but I can say it is actually for good reasons.

  • If you are only cost driven, then it only leads to disasters - I would spend all the money, and accept the cost, if safety for others are warranted / high on priority, especially when it is stack against speed of delivery.

  • Hopefully now you can see superman in a different way. Because superman actually cost A LOT of money. So probably why he is not mass produced.
