In this big big world and universe, there is so much that we do not yet understand. I often like to think we (human) learn at different stages, and information / knowledge is provided accordingly, or perhaps it is us who unlock the information that is "available" all along? Very similar to the "Apple incident from the tree" aka the legend of Isaac Newton. I believe apples have been falling from the tree since day dot, and people have observed that long ago before someone start questioning / discover / explore things like gravity. It seems merely a question itself, has the power to change the world, provided the timing is right.

I woke up today, pretty much doing my routine things, coffee, breakfast etc, ordinary and nothing too special about this. Then I stumble across a particular document - named "Open Door".... it is something older, in history - which is different to the charity oranisation today. I haven't gone through the entire document yet, but it seems within cycles of 100 years, some problems may be repeating, some problems are new, and collectively, it becomes a new set of challenges. What we know today, could be very different to 100 years ago. Just because it is repeating, doesn't mean it don't come with a cost, it is not infinite number of runs, don't we have issue with time? Like global warming, do we ever have enough time to deal with it? If there was guide somewhere, what would be the driving force?! Have you ever wonder - science is necessary, but may not be the entire solution to it.... it isn't a battle from my perspective, but is there one at all?!

One thing I often tell myself is that, is to keep an open mind, e.g. there is always a possibility that what we know today, may be less accurate compared to the history, and only with time, we may fully understand the underlying why people did things the way they did back in the days. Isn't history an interesting things, as we go back to look for more information, very often, a different story may be painted. With this in mind, what was wrong, could well be right, it just takes a good question, and that can possibly how "unity" can be achieved in a time of extreme division.

Just like science and religious (or perhaps "spiritual"), are they ever mutually exclusive?! or are they hand in hand all along?! How could we ever be so confident in something? Like a statement that has no room for adjustment? Have we not learnt that even science itself, reviewing what we know and challenge the status quo is just important?

PS: DID YOU KNOW?

  • Fuel crisis that we have in current day, is it similar to the one in 1933?

  • Back in the days but not that long ago (like year 2001), shops in Melbourne CBD, they close at 5pm?
