Don't Stop Believin' (Houston)

Christian Tang

I guess hearing the familiar lyric and then ended up with Houston, does give this song a new life. Something so random, and when by the time it comes to me, the time that I hear it, and be able to put it here....perhaps can also mean something else.

For “Houston, we've had a problem.” - The general response is "Alarm Bell!"..... But if you step back for one sec, it may not be the case. For any professional instructor, the first response, is be calm, and despite the difficult situation, it is still fixable. Apollo 13, noting today is 12 July... I won't copy the story here. But instead, to share NASA's response, which is amazing - NASA classified the Apollo 13 mission as a “successful failure.” Can you imagine the change of such tone, which enabled people to admit mistakes / failures and reconnect them back to good (which seems to be hard to come by nowadays). With that in mind, failures =\ losers, or perhaps losers are also beautiful - Who hasn't failed / lost at some point in their lives anyway, even the most successful person experienced it at some point.

I wonder if mistakes are magnified, then why don't we do the same for successes as well? Or are we saying we are often misguided because our communications have been defaulted to be one way (mostly)? Is this something that we can even do? I guess I will stick to I believe we can, and be done with it. If there is a problem, it will be fixable, in time.... just make sure you don't miss out the journey of your own.

PS: I used to think the face of 6 on the dice is the end of it. Then I realised, it still could be a 9. Or there may be additional rules (less explicit), that allows it to be rolled more than 1 time, or twice or more...... and each have their own meanings.
