This post is dedicated to "Spirits", so it will be a bit unusual, even to myself. But then again, why not anyway?
We always say we respect our ancestors, the past, spirits, religious etc but as we grow in our society, do we really care? Do we ever "consider" them if they do exist? What would they like I wonder?
The first thing it jumps into my mind was "burning something", it is like churches do candle lights, many of them. Asians burn with incense, to be fair, even Olympic has the torch. All of a sudden, it may not be that far-fetch anymore hey? With our world progressing the way it is, "burning" is reducing for obvious reasons (smoking, air quality, coal energy....), but while we are doing that, could we also affected something else? You may ask why do I think like that.... it is probably because I have noticed an increasing trend (seems like it to me) in burning kind of accidents, disasters... Can you imagine that yes we are perhaps cutting down the burning, but somehow other events are being triggered (war, wildfire, engine fire blah blah blah), I am not saying that there are direct causation there, but I know I would do the same if I am the spirit... wouldn't you? What other signs can they make anyway?
If there is a chance to prevent "uncontrollable situations", surely there is something better and can be done in a cleaner manner, controlled environment, or even be incorporated in our daily lives with minimal hassles.
E.g. Charcoal BBQ? Bonfire Events?
PS: Anyway for those non-believer, well at least, this story may gives a new meaning to this song (a great song regardless). For others, I think that's the message that they would like me to write it down in plain English.
