I guess this video summed up a lot of today, the past… just like the usual - the journey led me going through one thing and another, only to realise that even “green energy” can contribute to global warming... Sounds bad right? Not at all, just because we know the weakness of something eg heat generation. Generally our defense mechanism kicks in, stop that, review that and of course will find errors. But it doesn’t mean bad, in fact, some incidents (even if catastrophic) in assurance means learning, it helps to improve the undesired situation, and allows us to move forward, and also a great opportunity to remind us, if there was anything missed along the way, might as well fix it too (synergy). But very often we stop before reaching that step, not knowing the best has yet to come. If we see red alert, do we go through or not to go through? This is not a clear cut answer, exercise your wise judgement or ask… but that simple step - have we considered….. could it be something good, rather than bad….. or even not bad is good?
Because wind turbines when placed correctly, which it seems to be near the equator, and blow some hot air to the ocean where it is meant to be warmer! Wouldn’t that be fun, a premium hairdryer for our ocean that needs to have a warmer air, and can generate electricity, not to mess up the geographical climate… I do not know, so far I didn’t find anything that is too far fetch, but I’m sure we have some great scientists / researchers will know a lot more…
PS: Wind Turbines (generate heats), Windmill - Probably not as much, I can only think of the lack of maintenance, damage which increased the resistance, which is undesirable I assume. So even that can have a difference. A seasonal wind turbines (SWT) one maybe? Or a Hybrid? That reminds me of the computer game…. Yes some of our graphic cards are also contributing to the warming I bet. Oh wait, is this why he sold his Nvidia shares? Mmmm… how did he know? But remember this is not meant to be divide, but grow together. I love Nvidia, it made many of our impossible dreams become realities (as least to the level that we can visualise) and so much more. I think he the divestment may because it is the right time to contribute on something else? It doesn’t mean video card will be made redundant, maybe it just doesn’t need the same speed of growth, or may even idle. Do we really need a 6066 graphic card with yearly update? Do we need a 128k definition? Do we need 64G ram in the card itself. Bigger isn’t better… it really depends on what you are trying to solve and if that piece is critical, does it fits in, and other considerations.
