AI vs Human Mind vs ...

Christian Tang

I have heard so many theories in the past, where AI could "supposedly" better than human mind. Are we there yet? I don't think so. Will it get there? Well... let's backtrack a little with that. What would be the purpose of that?

Even if we could run the whole wide world in simulation, it then manifest into countless scenarios, in the end it is just a container, it contains the sum of all possible scenarios, that it is capable of learning, and achieving. If there was spirits, God, whatever that may be, and it is created by "human", then it would be likely to contain "error", or "flaws". So either it is going to be infinite minus 1 (error), or at best achieving (infinity), and still 1 less if God exists (infinity+1). I think the most likely scenario would be running out of resources anyway, and human will never see that far. Delving into that world, is probably not for everyone, because ideation / spark which is quite unique to us (in a way), is a magical realm, it sort of sits between real, and unreal, but real enough for those who lived it.

Do we have an example? Of course!

Recently, I rewatched the movie - The Ring (Japanese), the original version. I am certain that I understood it a lot more, compared to the time when I watched it for the first time. It gave me a completely different perspective this time.

One interesting thing that Asakawa read out in the movie, while she was reading an unknown notepad - {translated} "My dad is fat. My mom is fat. That's why I'm fat, too.". What is the meaning of this? Is it related to the title at all? Is it completely random? At around 00:24:51, she said that sentence. I wonder who wrote in that note, a boy or a girl... It is very subtle, why is it important, to me? Do you know a fat boy (肥仔) in Cantonese, not Mandarin, sounds like F. J. Is this far fetch? Sometimes, a message when interpreted by another person, may yield another meaning... if you were the programmer, even with AI learning, how messy would that be, if later on, needs to cross reference with another? With billions of people, each may read something different, is it b^b?

PS: Yes I like bb.
